Help Us Support Hurricane Relief in SW Virginia & North Carolina

Mennonite Disaster Service volunteers are busy responding to needs in western North Carolina following the flooding and mudslides caused by Hurricane Helene.

Volunteers have cleaned up more than 250 properties in North Carolina since the storm. They are clearing downed trees and repairing private lanes with heavy equipment so people can get back home.

MDS is prepared to be there for the long haul – sharing God’s love in a hands-on practical way. With your ongoing support, volunteers will repair and rebuild houses – as well as private access bridges that connect homes with the roadway.

Beyond Hurricane Helene recovery, MDS volunteers will be active this winter in at least 17 other disaster recovery locations across the United States and Canada.

Last year 6,486 volunteers from across Canada and the U.S. gave their time, skills, and compassion to build 135 new homes, complete 287 repairs, finish 49 cleanups, and build 9 new bridges for households who experienced a disaster.

We appreciate how your support makes all of this happen!
