When you join SVBA you getting 3-in-1 membership which means you also become members in the National Association of Home Builders and Home Builders Association of Virginia. This 3-in-1 membership gives you a voice on the local level all the way up to the national stage where your concerns and passions for issues can help shape policy and regulations. We keep you up to date with the latest proposed legislative and regulatory changes that affect you.
We also offer professional growth opportunities to be a leader at the local, state and national level where you can help shape the future of home building and development. Education programs are also available to further promote professional growth along with new and information to help with forecasting and legal assistance.
Dues payments to SVBA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, dues payments may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expense, subject to exclusion for lobbying activity.
Builders & Associates

Builder/Remodeler members are directly involved in building and remodeling homes. They include small-volume builders, custom builders, production builders, light commercial builders and remodelers.
Associates provide products or services to home builders. They are the electricians, plumbers, framers, carpenters, woodworkers, mason, landscapers, architects, and designers.
Affiliates

Affiliate members are employees of an already existing member company. These members help the association build for the future, engage and encourage future leaders and grow membership.
